A new report indicates that WWE is internally calling a match which recently took place on 205 Live as one of the worst contests to make it to broadcast over the last 12 months.

The NXT brand’s massive revamp back in September 2021 has led to a plethora of new talents being put in to the spotlight, with varying degrees of experience before they are put in to that position.

Former WNBA star Lash Legend is one of those to come in, having recently made her televised in-ring debut on the 10th December edition of 205 Live where she picked up a victory over Amari Miller.

A week later Legend took on Japanese competitor Sarray, and Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that WWE is internally calling the contest one of the worst they have let go to air this year.

Those who just saw the match on 205 Live noted how it may have been the worst match on a WWE broadcast this year and it was back to ripping on the trainers and such. From internal sources, we were told it was one of the most edited matches before it aired, and it was described that they cut it down to 3:00 of “highlights” and it in that form was still the worst television match for WWE this year.

Sarray came to WWE with ten years experience competing in Japan, better known under the name Sareee. She signed with WWE in April 2021, however has recently picked up a number of losses on NXT 2.0 including most recently to former NXT UK Women’s Champion Kay Lee Ray.
