AJ Styles has reportedly been absent from WWE television due to a “non-injury medical issue.”
The Phenomenal One has been conspicuous by his absence on Raw recently, with his last appearance on WWE television coming at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia. On that show, Styles teamed up with the colossal Omos in a futile attempt to reclaim the Raw Tag Team Championships from RK-Bro.
Since then, Omos has been on his own, and he made an appearance on the most recent episode of Raw at the end of the match between The Street Profits and The Dirty Dawgs. The entrance of the giant provided enough of a distraction for Dolph Ziggler to claim the win for himself and Bobby Roode.
Following the match, Omos knocked Montez Ford over the ringside barricade before confronting Raw Tag Team Champions Riddle and Randy Orton, who had been guests at the commentary table during the proceedings.
Dave Meltzer commented on the condition of AJ Styles and shed some light on his recent absence from WWE television during an episode of Wrestling Observer Radio:
“AJ’s got a non-injury medical issue is what I was told. I’m sure that he’s gonna yell and scream at some point about it but that is what they said, a non-injury medical issue.”
