Following backlash on social media, Top Dolla – real name AJ Francis – has deleted a video where he performed a diss-track aimed at Jinder Mahal and Shanky.

Hit Row have become popular additions to the SmackDown roster for their skill with a microphone and razor-sharp raps. On the latest episode of SmackDown, Jinder Mahal and Shanky tried to match them with a track of their own.

In the backstage segment, the duo “rapped” about the up and coming group, calling them “Cringe Row” and throwing in a few outdated Hip Hop references.

Top Dolla retaliated with a diss track of his own on social media in true Hip Hop form. The video, however, drew a lot of criticism online, with some accusing it of being racially insensitive. As a result, the Hit Row member removed the video, but it is still available to view elsewhere.

After deleting the clip, Top Dolla issued a statement on Twitter saying that the track was intended for entertainment. He went on to claim that Mahal and Shanky had “made fun of” his culture and he had retaliated in kind. He also said that the purpose of the video was to have a good time while furthering the story.

While Hit Row arrived on Friday Night SmackDown with four members, they are now down to three as B-Fab, who was a member of the group in NXT and briefly appeared with them on SmackDown, was released by WWE on November 4th. On the November 12th episode of SmackDown, the trio paid tribute to the now-former Superstar.
