Tony Khan Comments On Rumours Of Bray Wyatt Joining AEW

Bray Wyatt Tony Khan

Tony Khan, the CEO and President of AEW has responded to speculation linking the company to recently departed WWE Superstar Bray Wyatt.

WWE released Bray Wyatt in July after more than a decade with the company. As soon as Wyatt left WWE, fans began to speculate about a possible move to AEW. Former WWE stars such as CM Punk, Daniel Bryan (Bryan Danielson), and Adam Cole all signed with the company, stoking the fire of speculation.

Despite being linked to the former WWE Universal Champion on a regular basis, Tony Khan claims the two “haven’t really talked” about working together:

Tony Khan stated on WFAN that he has spoken with Wyatt on a personal level, but not about signing with AEW. He did, however, mention the old wrestling adage, “You never know:”

“Certainly, that name would never be (used).”

“He’s a great wrestler and I have to be honest, we haven’t really talked at all. I’ve known him in personal life and have gotten to spend a little bit of time with him, but as far as that, we haven’t talked.

I saw lots of rumours, but that isn’t something anyone has really talked about, but you never know.”

Bray Wyatt’s final WWE match was at WrestleMania 37, where he was defeated by Randy Orton. He hosted his final Firefly Funhouse segment the night after the spectacular on Raw before disappearing from television.

The third-generation star has been tight-lipped about his future plans, but he did recently announce that he would be back in action soon. Wyatt announced on social media that fans would “see him very soon.”

Meanwhile, Wyatt’s former Wyatt Family running partner, Braun Strowman, recently called him out. After winning his first match since leaving WWE, Strowman stated that he was waiting for Wyatt to “knock on his door.”
