The Rock Talks About The Undertaker Protecting Him From Locker Room Rivals

The Rock & The Undertaker

A few weeks back, Hall Of Famer, Bret Hart made some comments revealing that The Rock had been bullied and even stated members of The Kliq tried to make him quit the wrestling business when he first started.

Hart said previously on Confessions of the Hitman:

“I don’t know why he had such a hard time being accepted by some of the more jerk-like wrestlers,” Hart said. “A lot of the same guys who had a problem with Rock were the same guys that were all involved in the Screwjob with me, so I had the same dislike for the same petty bulls–t that these guys were all about.”

It would appear there is some merit in what Hart has said.

On the new WWE Network documentary, ‘Meeting The Undertaker’, The Rock gave a rare insight in to what was happening backstage before capturing his first WWE championship at Surivor Series in 1998:

“This is stuff I’ve never shared but I do want to share it because it’s important,” said The Rock. “When I started to make the move [up the card] and word started to get around that the office was priming me for a WWE Championship run, there were a handful of guys in the business at the time who did everything they could to stop that run from happening.”

The Brahma Bull went on to say about The Undertaker:

“He was always so steady, telling me, ‘Don’t worry about it, kid. Just go out and keep doing your thing. You have a hell of a future”

The Rock would of course reach the very highest of heights during this run with WWE.
