Stephanie McMahon has given an update on her husband, Triple H, following his recent heart surgery, and has also spoken about her eldest daughter training to become a pro-wrestler.

WWE confirmed in a statement on September 8th that Triple H had undergone a successful procedure after suffering a “cardiac event.”

Since his surgery, ‘The King of Kings’ has been absent from WWE, but was recently reported to have taken part in a tour of the site of the new WWE headquarters.

During a recent interview with talkSPORT at an event celebrating the extension of the global partnership between WWE and the Special Olympics, Stephanie McMahon gave an update on the health of her husband Triple H.

McMahon said that Triple H was “doing great” before speaking on her favourite moments performing with arguably his greatest rival, The Rock, as WWE marked the 25th Anniversary of the ‘Great One’s debut at Survivor Series.

The WWE Chief Brand Officer recalled slapping The Rock at WrestleMania 31, and thinking it might have been a little too much.

“I have lots of fun memories on screen with The Rock. I think I slapped him the hardest I’ve ever slapped him at WrestleMania 31 at Levi’s Stadium.

“It was a good one, it was a good one. It felt like I laid it in [laughs]. I was almost like ‘oooh, that was a little too hard!’

“But then he brought in Ronda Rousey and ultimately she broke my arm and everything so ultimately, he got back at me.”

“Always fun going back and forth doing promos with The Rock. He always won, of course, but that’s alright.”

Stephanie McMahon and Triple H have three daughters, aged 15, 13 and 11. Stephanie and her brother, Shane, began their careers in the wrestling business at a young age, and she was asked if the next generation of McMahons might soon join the family business.

McMahon spoke about her oldest daughter wanting Vince McMahon’s job when she was younger, before revealing that she had instead followed her father’s career path by starting training in the ring.

“We have three daughters, Triple H and I do, they are 15, 13 and 11. Our oldest said when she was eight years old ‘Momma, I don’t want your job. Daddy, I don’t want your job. I want Pop’s [Vince McMahon] job.

“So, just like her grandfather, she wants to be the boss so we’ll see what happens, with my oldest daughter who has already started training in the ring.

“My youngest daughter is also very interested but she is all about the personality [laughs]. Oh my goodness, I can’t wait to see what she is going to do.”

After spending much of the last two decades with a big role to play on WWE TV, Stephanie McMahon has stepped back from the limelight, having not appeared since 2019. Meanwhile, it has been reported that Triple H’s health problems mean that his in-ring career is likely over.
