Sabu Calls Test “An Idiot” For Refusing To Sell For CM Punk

CM Punk

ECW legend Sabu has called Test “an idiot” when recalling a time the former WWE Intercontinental Champion refused to sell for CM Punk because he was the bigger wrestler of the two.

The incident occurred when the trio were all part of the revived ECW roster during 2006. During that run Sabu, Test and Punk were all heavily featured on the brand and butted heads on a number of occasions in the ring, but seemingly there were also some issues outside as well.

During an interview with PTM’s Vinny Vegas, Sabu discussed how CM Punk made a suggestion for a match that they were all in, but Test refused to take the move by saying that he was too tall for it to happen.

One time we were somewhere and me and CM Punk and him were in a match. CM goes, ‘I’ll do this to you.’ And he goes, ‘No.’ He goes, ‘Why not?’ Test goes, ‘Because I’m six-seven and you’re not.’ Me and Punk looked at each other and started laughing. ‘Well, this guy’s an idiot.’

CM Punk went on to win the ECW Championship as well as numerous other titles during his time wrestling for WWE. Since becoming an AEW superstar with his return to the ring earlier this year, Punk has stated that he will be looking to challenge for new gold in the organisation as well.
