Roman Reigns Gives Personal Out Of Character Message At WWE Supershow

Roman Reigns

WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns encouraged fans to stay safe during the ongoing pandemic as he broke character at a recent WWE Supershow.

Having made his return to WWE television at SummerSlam 2020, ‘The Head Of The Table’ has certainly maintained his persona on-screen, being a formidable opponent for anyone he’s ended up facing inside the squared circle and being a dominant title holder.

‘The Tribal Chief’ was set to face Brock Lesnar at Day 1, until he was diagnosed with COVID-19 and was therefore unable to compete. This led to ‘The Beast Incarnate’ being added to the WWE Championship match and winning the title. Interestingly, the fact Reigns didn’t compete means he is set to overtake Lesnar’s record of holding the Universal Championship for 503 days.

Now back on the road, Roman Reigns has been appearing on non-televised events, including recently in Glen Falls, New York. ‘The Tribal Chief’ ended up breaking character to address the crowd, urging them to stay safe whilst the pandemic continues.

I’d like to take this time to thank you guys for coming out. We all know what’s going on with this pandemic. I just want you all to stay safe. I want you to protect yourselves so that we can see you all next time. Also, goodnight and thank you.

On the show, Roman Reigns had been part of a six-man tag team match where teamed with his cousins The Usos in a successful outing against Big E and The Viking Raiders.

Roman Reigns is not the only person to have shown a lighter side to their character as of late, with Seth Rollins taking a humorous action before his title match with ‘The Head Of The Table’ at the Royal Rumble was confirmed.
