When Randy Orton steps into the ring at Survivor Series in Brooklyn on November 21st he will break a huge WWE record.
At Survivor Series, Randy Orton will team with Riddle to take on The Usos in a battle for tag team supremacy. The match marks Orton’s 177th appearance at a WWE pay-per-view, which will be a new recoKanerd.
According to The Internet Wrestling Database, the match means that Orton will have competed in more WWF/WWE pay-per-view events than anyone else in history. At present, Orton is tied with Kane on 176 appearances.
Behind Randy Orton and Kane, is The Undertaker with 174 appearances, with Triple H on 173 and John Cena on 163 rounding out the top five.
As well as a record number of appearances, Orton also stands as one of the most decorated Superstars in history. He is third on the all-time list for World Title wins with 14, level with Triple H. He is only currently superseded by John Cena and Ric Flair who have both been World Champion on 16 occasions. The Viper’s CV also contains two Royal Rumble wins, a Money In The Bank win, and runs with every major title that WWE has to offer.
In terms of appearances at Survivor Series, Orton is behind only The Undertaker, and Shawn Michaels. The legendary trio have all competed 17 times, while Orton’s match on November 21st will be his 15th,
Randy Orton is currently enjoying his third World Tag Team Title Reign, and his first alongside Riddle. The unlikely team won the titles at SummerSlam defeating AJ Styles and Omos.
