Nia Jax Offered Royal Rumble Return, Told WWE “F*ck No”

Nia Jax stands in ring

Nia Jax made a very emphatic statement to WWE when she was offered a chance to participate in the 2022 Royal Rumble.

There were a total of 13 Hall Of Famers and former WWE Superstars who competed in the Women’s Royal Rumble match this year, including the likes of Lita, Mickie James, Melina and The Bella Twins.

None of them earned the opportunity to head to WrestleMania with a guaranteed title shot, as ‘Rowdy’ Ronda Rousey made her return to the company at the number 28 spot and last eliminated Charlotte Flair to pick up the victory.

Speaking on Renee Paquette’s The Sessions podcast, former Raw Women’s Champion Nia Jax has claimed that he was offered a spot in the 30-woman contest, and gave WWE a very direct answer.

I was in the middle of trying to get my stuff back right? I had a bunch of crap, you know how it is, you’re just shoving stuff in everybody’s boxes. They sent me a box and more than half was missing, I’m like ‘yo what’s going on?’

So when I got the call, I thought it was about where’s my stuff. So I answered and was like ‘hey what’s up?’ It’s my homie in TR and they’re like ‘hey Savelina – my official name – we’re just calling to see if you’d be interested in participating in the Royal Rumble?’ And I started hysterically laughing because I thought it was my friend joking with me.

I was like ‘oh you’re frickin’ hilarious’ and he was like ‘no, this is an official call.’ I was like ‘oh, f*ck no, I’m not coming back.’ And he was like ‘we’d like to offer you this…’ and I was like first of all, I already know I’m still under my 90 days, you’re still going to be paying me anyway so you’re not offering me anything and I was like no, I’m not f*cking coming back, absolutely f*cking not.

Nia Jax went on to say that it wasn’t even a guarantee that she would be involved, but instead would be put on a list of potential superstars for Vince McMahon to choose from.

This is what I was told, they’re accumulating a list – they wanted to offer me an opportunity – accumulate a list that they send to Vince, then Vince goes through the list and picks who he wants and who he doesn’t.

I was like ‘so you’re asking me to be part of the list to go to the next step? F*ck no, how much more can you sh*t on me dude?’

It has also been noted that the former Iiconics, now known as The Iinspiration, similarly turned down the opportunity to participate in the Royal Rumble.
