It would appear that L.A. Knight has already been earmarked to make the move from NXT 2.0 to either Raw or SmackDown shortly after WrestleMania.

In a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer has commented that L.A. Knight will be moved to either the red or blue brand once ‘The Showcase Of The Immortals’ is done and dusted.

L.A. Knight, at 39 years old, will be a surprise to most given the focus that WWE has recently been putting on pushing younger talent through the ranks. However, the report says that “company officials are very high right now on L.A. Knight.” Although no specific date for the call up was given, Meltzer said that “as of a few weeks ago he was slated for a main roster spot in the spring, after WrestleMania.”

Although not appearing on the main show yet, L.A. Knight has already interacted with a number of Raw superstars. He was recently part of a Digital Exclusive clip involving Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode.

Making his return to NXT on the 12th January episode, L.A. Knight appeared after AJ Styles’ victory over Grayson Waller. Styles would go on to hand over the reigns of NXT to the former Million Dollar Champion.

As often happens after WrestleMania, it looks like there could be a number of stars moving to either Raw or SmackDown shortly after the event. Both Roderick Strong and Tommaso Ciampa have been mentioned as likely candidates, with both competing in dark matches for the main roster recently.

During his time in NXT so far, L.A. Knight has been seen as a veteran, including joining Team Black And Gold alongside Pete Dunne, Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa for the 2021 War Games contest. His credentials also expand outside the company, being a former IMPACT Wrestling Champion.
