WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle has discussed how he would love to manage current Superstar Gable Steveson if the opportunity presented itself, saying he feels he will be “a big player”.

As a guest on the ‘Pancakes & Powerslams podcast‘, the Olympic Gold Medallist was very quick to answer the question of who he would like to be the advocate for if it was possible, and he went with someone who has similar credentials to himself.

Oh, Gable Steveson! Olympic gold medalist! That would be an easy one!

Kurt Angle went on to explain further that he believes Stevenson, who was recently drafted to Monday Night Raw, has a bright future ahead of him.

I think Gable Steveson is going to be a big player in the game. I really think he is going to catch on, especially if he catches on from a… what would I call that? A charisma perspective, you know, a personality/character perspective. If he gets that, the sky is the limit with this guy.

In a unique move, WWE signed Steveson to the company’s first-ever ‘NIL’ (Name, Image, Likeness) deal on 9th September. In a fairly unprecedented move, Steveson was given permission as part of his contract to defend his NCAA wrestling title at the University of Minnesota as part of the deal.

Despite being a recent signee with the company, Steveson was put straight to the red brand on the most recent Draft, skipping the traditional NXT route which most potential Superstars take when making their way in to the company.

Whilst this interview talks about a current star, Kurt Angle recently also spoke on who feels is the best entertainer in wrestling history.
