Former Ring Of Honor competitor Jimmy Rave has passed away at the age of 39, according to sources who knew him.
The news was broken by Bill Behrens on social media, who said that the real-life James Michael Duffey had died on 12th December 2021.
The post from Behrens, who is known as a top agent to many wrestlers on the independent scene, spoke of the difficulty in writing the post where he discussed Jimmy Rave’s career, which started in 1999.

Bill Behrens discussed a number of the key moments from Rave’s career, including being a two-time NWA Junior World Heavyweight Champion and his time spent working with Lance Hoyt during the early years of TNA/IMPACT Wrestling. He also appeared for Combat Zone Wrestling, where he held the Iron Man Championship once.
The discussion also turned to the drug addiction Rave had suffered from, and the fact that he had suffered from multiple health conditions which included the amputation of one arm and both legs. His legs were amputated following a bout of MRSA.
Rave passed away in Philadelphia, where he was living with Gabby Gilbert.
Everyone at Hooked On Sport send our condolences to Jimmy Rave’s family and friends at this time.
