JBL Admits Being “Unprofessional” After Disrespect From WWE Hall Of Famer

JBL John Bradshaw Layfield

JBL has admitted that he was unprofessional when he confronted WWE Hall Of Famer Tully Blanchard regarding an incident which had happened years earlier.

During John ‘Bradshaw’ Layfield’s transition from best being known as a tag-team competitor to becoming the cowboy hat wearing mogul who would become WWE Champion, Tully Blanchard also joined the company acting as an agent.

JBL spoke of his run-in with the legendary Four Horsemen member during a Q and A on his YouTube Channel, admitting that he should have handled the situation very differently. He went so far as to say that his actions were unprofessional, despite the disrespect he had been shown years before.

I had heat with Tully from an old event. Tully doesn’t even remember it from what I’ve seen. I thought he was disrespectful to me, and I carried, stupidly, a lot of anger toward Tully for years. I saw him for the first time in WWE and I just exploded. It was unprofessional, it shouldn’t have happened. It shouldn’t have happened there. I should have just pulled Tully aside.

It’s one of those things where you let stuff fester and it builds up over the years, but I handled it completely wrong, and for that, I told Tully later I was sorry for the whole thing. And I am because I shouldn’t have handled it that way. I should have just pulled him aside and talked to him.

Tully Blanchard was inducted in to the WWE Hall Of Fame as a member of the Class Of 2012, along with his fellow Four Horsemen. He now calls AEW home, and heads to the ring to manage FTR.

JBL also recently spoke of how his singles run in WWE likely wouldn’t have been possible without a beloved former star.
