Huge Update On Kevin Owens’ WWE Future

Kevin Owens

A new report has sought to shed light on the future of Kevin Owens with rumours circulating that the former WWE Universal Champion’s contract expires in January 2022.

With the advent of AEW in 2019, the subject of contract negotiations and the status of wrestlers signed to WWE and other companies has become the subject of intense speculation.

AEW had a banner year in 2021 when they lured the likes of Bryan Danielson and Adam Cole away from WWE. However, one man linked with becoming All Elite now looks likes he’s staying put in WWE for quite some time.

Fightful Select has reported that Kevin Owens has inked a new multi-year deal with WWE after what sources from the company have called an “excellent offer” being made to Owens. The report notes that speculation among those in AEW suggests they knew that the company wouldn’t be able to match what WWE was likely to offer the Canadian star.

The report goes on to say that those within WWE are “over the moon” at retaining Kevin Owens’ services for the foreseeable future. Owens’ deal with WWE was scheduled to expire at the end of January 2022 after it was restructured in 2019.

Kevin Owens is part of the WWE Championship match at Day One where he, Seth Rollins, and Bobby Lashley will challenge WWE Champion Big E for the gold in a Fatal Four-Way Match.
