Four huge WWE Superstars were pulled from WWE’s traditional post-Christmas live event at Madison Square Garden with Day 1 less than a week away.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider, has noted that Big E, Becky Lynch, Seth Rollins and Bianca Belair all failed to appear at the company’s traditional Boxing Day house show. Plans at another live event in Tampa, Florida were also changed.
The advertised main events for the WWE Holiday Tour dates tonight in NYC and Tampa will not be taking place as scheduled due to talents not being present to work the events. The advertised main events in NYC were Kevin Owens vs. Big E vs. Seth Rollins and Bianca Belair vs. Becky Lynch in steel cage matches.
Big E, Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair are not currently backstage at MSG.
We are told there will also be changes to the Tampa main event, which was was slated to be headlined by Drew McIntyre and The New Day vs. Roman Reigns and The Usos. WWE Smackdown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair vs. Sasha Banks in a Street Fight has also been advertised for the Smackdown side of the tour.
While at the time no reason was officially given for the changes, Seth Rollins later confirmed that he had tested positive for COVID-19.
The late changes to the card saw Edge and Natalya rushed into action in New York.
Merry Covid Christmas to me!!!! I LOVE FOOTBALL!!!

The news of the changes as well as Seth Rollins revealing his positive COVID diagnosis has created a whirlwind of speculation surrounding the Day 1 pay-per-view which is only a matter of days away.
At the event, Rollins is scheduled to face Big E, Kevin Owens and Bobby Lashley for the WWE Championship, while Rollins’ wife Becky Lynch is scheduled to defend her Raw Women’s Championship against Liv Morgan.
