FTR On How Close Their AEW Contracts Are To Expiring

FTR, Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood

Former AEW Tag Team Champions FTR have commented that their contracts with the company “don’t have very much longer left on them”, stating that they have plenty they want to achieve before they expire.

FTR joined All Elite Wrestling in May 2020 with a contract which was described as a “multi-year deal” after the duo left WWE following their success whilst known as The Revival. Now known as Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler, the pair held plenty of gold in WWE such as the Raw, SmackDown and NXT Tag Team Championships.

Now speaking to Brandon Walker on Rasslin’, FTR have claimed that next year they will have the run that they should have had the first time round as AEW World Tag Team Champions.

In 2022, we are going to get the titles back and we are going to have the title run that we should have had the first time where we are world-beaters.

FTR were then questioned as to why they felt the need to push forward with their plans for gold so quickly, at which point Cash Wheeler claimed that the duo’s contracts with AEW didn’t have long left to run meaning they needed to get the title belts as soon as possible.

Because we don’t have very much longer on these current contracts. I don’t know what’s going to happen from there, but we have a short amount of time to accomplish the things we want to accomplish.

As well as their work in AEW, FTR currently hold the AAA World Tag Team Championships after defeating The Lucha Bros on an episode of Dynamite.

Earlier this week it was reported that Dax Harwood helped MJF eject a fan from the locker room at an AEW taping after he impersonated an extra.
