It has been trailed for a couple of weeks, but on the first NXT Tuesday Franky Monet made her debut.
Monet will be known better to fans as Taya Valkyrie, a multiple-champion in a number of promotions and in particular Impact Wrestling.
Now with puppy in hand rather than running round the Capitol Wrestling Center, Monet wasted no time with making her presence knowing as she interrupted new NXT Women’s Champion Raquel Gonzalez.
The pair had an angry exchange, some of which was in Spanish, and Gonzalez went so far as to threaten Monet’s dog.
So it’s clear Monet will straight away be in the title picture, and certainly has the credentials to have a cracking match with Gonzalez.
It was certainly an interesting segment, as it also involved Gonzalez’ Raw and SmackDown counterparts.
New title holders Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair returned to NXT, giving the trio a chance to recreate the photo they had together during their early days on the black and gold brand.
Even with Monet making the challenge, these three could certainly hold those belts for a long time to come.
