Fan Who Attacked Seth Rollins On Raw Arrested

Seth Rollins

The man who attacked Seth Rollins during the most recent episode of Monday Night Raw has been arrested and taken into custody.

The November 22nd episode of Raw had already been a wild ride, but things got a little too wild when a fan decided to try and get involved in the action.

With Seth Rollins making his way back up the ramp, a man ran from the crowd tackling the former World Champion before being restrained by security. The assault was briefly captured on television, but the camera quickly cut away from the incident. The attacker was dragged out of the building by security to a chorus of “a**hole” chants from those in attendance.

Following the assault, WWE released a statement confirming that the man had been handed over to police and would be prosecuted.

“WWE takes the safety of its performers very seriously. The individual who attacked Seth Rollins has been turned over to the NYPD and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

You can find footage of the incident in the clip below.

Ahead of the attack, Seth Rollins had been due to face Finn Balor. However, Rollins jumped his rival beating him down with the steel steps, before leaving him laying with two Curb Stomps. It was as Rollins made his way back up the ramp with Balor laying prone in the ring that he was attacked.

ESPN has now reported that 24-year-old Elisah Spencer is being held on charges of attempted assault and attempted violation of arts and cultural affairs (disrupting a live sporting event), according to the New York Police Department.
The police have added that Spencer left his section where he was seated for the event, jumped the barrier, and attacked Seth Rollins at 9.20 pm local time.
