The email which was sent to WWE superstars following the release of a number of their colleagues yesterday has been released, whilst many stars have reacted to the latest round of budget cuts by the company.
Eight more main roster stars were releases by WWE on 18th November, which is the sixth set of cuts they’ve made this calendar year. Included in this set of releases were the remaining members of Hit Row, after B-Fab was let go in the last wave.
The full list of WWE superstars released yesterday is as follows:
- John Morrison
- Top Dolla
- Ashante Adonis
- Isiah ‘Swerve’ Scott
- Tegan Nox
- Drake Maverick
- Shane Thorne
- Jaxson Ryker
A number of these stars have appeared on television for the company in recent weeks, most notably hit row but the likes of Morrison, Maverick and Nox played key roles in the company’s recent UK tour.
A new report from Mat Men Podcast’s Andrew Zarian, claims that a WWE source says that the company felt blindsided by the latest set of releases.
Wrestling Inc has also now released a report, which includes a leaked email which was sent to talent within the company regarding the latest wave of cuts.
Due to budgetary cuts the following WWE talent were released today, November 18, 2021. John Morrison, Top Dolla, Ashante Adonis, Isaiah Swerve Scott, Tegan Nox, Drake Maverick, Shane Thorne, and Jaxson Ryker.
The total of stars now released by WWE in 2021 has increased to 80. Budget cuts seem to be the main reason cited, however there has been no limit to the level of talent that the company felt they could do without. Some of the flagship names let go this year are former title holders, including the likes of include Bray Wyatt, Braun Strowman, Nia Jax, Mickie James, Andrade and Aleister Black.
