Bryan Danielson will have his first AEW match at the bumper Dynamite from Arthur Ashe Stadium and will take on Kenny Omega.
Having had the upper hand since debuting at All Out, the former Daniel Bryan came out on this week’s Dynamite to lay down a challenge to the AEW World Champion. Saying he was not interested in getting a title shot, Danielson’s request for a match with Omega was initially rejected by Don Callis before more goading from the former WWE Champion got the match signed.
The contest is one of a number to be added to next week’s AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam, which is set to have the largest crowd in AEW history, with 18,000 fans set to attend the Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, New York.

AEW will also be presenting a Grand Slam edition of Rampage, which will feature Adam Cole and The Young Bucks facing Jurassic Express, CM Punk’s second AEW match against Powerhouse Hobbs, and Chris Jericho & Jake Hager vs. Scorpio Sky & Ethan Page.
