Bryan Danielson has given details on the final text exchange he had with the late Brodie Lee, as well as messages with another current AEW star who reminded him he’s “Bryan f**cking Danielson”.

The American Dragon had already qualified for the final of the AEW World Championship Eliminator Tournament, and this past Wednesday on AEW he found out he would face Miro in that match after he defeated Orange Cassidy. Miro came in to the match as a replacement for Jon Moxley, who has checked in to an inpatient alcohol treatment plan.

Danielson made his way to the ring to offer his hand to The Redeemer, however was rebuffed by the former TNT Champion who then left the ring, only for Danielson to be joined by Best Friends and Tony Khan.

Khan discussed this week being the second hardest he’s experienced in wrestling, with it being in second place to the week Brodie Lee passed away at the age of just 41.

Bryan Danielson then took the microphone and spoke of text message exchanges with both Lee and Moxley, and the positivity both of them brought.

Tony just talked about two of my really good friends. One I haven’t gotten the chance to talk about publicly very much, but the last text I sent to Brodie was this, ‘Hey man, how’s life?’ And do you know what he said? He texted me back, ‘It’s f**cking awesome’ (the crowd chants ‘Brodie’).

Another guy I texted was the second guy he mentioned, and I might not be here if it weren’t for him because I watched an AEW show and I saw all these men and women doing these incredible things.

And I didn’t know if I could keep up, and I said that to Moxley and do you know what he said? He said, ‘You’re Bryan f**cking Danielson. You’re the best in the world. I’m not telling you you should come here but don’t for a goddamn second think you can’t.’ So Jon, get better soon. We miss you, and we love you.
