Brock Lesnar Reportedly Went Off-Script At Elimination Chamber

Whilst it’s little surprise that Brock Lesnar has the ability to often play by his own rules, it would seem there was a specific moment during the recent Elimination Chamber match where he went off-script.

Having lost the WWE Championship to Bobby Lashley at the Royal Rumble, ‘The Beast Incarnate’ entered Elimination Chamber with not only the gold on his mind, but a potential title vs. title clash with Roman Reigns at WrestleMania.

Lesnar ended up using his loss at the Rumble to good effect, entering as the final participant in the signature match and quickly dispatching all the remaining competitors to guarantee his main event contest at ‘The Showcase Of The Immortals’. Whilst Reigns’ Universal Championship would be on the line in that match, Lesnar had plans to make sure that wasn’t the only gold up for grabs.

Before Brock Lesnar even entered the Elimination Chamber match, the current title holder Bobby Lashley was removed from the match due to concussion protocol after Austin Theory was sent through his pod by Seth Rollins.

With the former WWE Champion entering last, he was left with the opposition of Theory, Rollins, Riddle and AJ Styles.

A new title holder was guaranteed after Lashley’s removal from the match, and once Lesnar entered it was pretty certain who that was going to be. The only man he didn’t dispatch extremely quickly was Theory, and that was only due to a low blow which he soon recovered from to win the contest.

However, it’s the way Brock Lesnar entered the contest which seemingly didn’t go as planned. As the spotlight shone on Bobby Lashley’s pod, ‘The Beast Incarnate’ smashed through his own to enter the match. According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, this wasn’t on the planned script.

It has now been confirmed that the match between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns at ‘The Showcase Of The Immortals’ will be with both the WWE Championship and Universal Championship on the line.
