It has been confirmed that Bray Wyatt has landed a new venture with someone he worked with during his time with WWE.
Bray Wyatt was released by WWE on July 31st, and ever since that day wrestling fans far and wide have wondered where the former Undisputed Champion will end up next. While there has been significant speculation linking the star with IMAPCT wrestling and AEW, it appears that his next destination is actually much further afield.
Jason Baker, owner of Callosum Studios and renowned special makeup effects artist has revealed in an interview with the Metro, that the pair are set to go to Hollywood. Baker has previously worked with a number of WWE Superstars, becoming friends with Bray Wyatt in the process.
The artist revealed that the new project is set to get underway at the end of the month.
“He’s a phenomenal collaborator, he’s become a really good friend, and we’re actually – you’re the first person that we’re publicly telling about. We’re starting a film at the end of the month.
Two weeks to go, we’re filming in Tennessee,’ he said. ‘It’s a feature film and it’s something really new and different. I’d say probably the best way to describe it is Ichi the Killer meets Xanadu.”
While not getting into any specific details, Baker explained that the new role won’t see Wyatt rekindle any of his previous personas.
“We’re not using any of that – we’re going in a completely different direction, a whole new thing,’ he teased. ‘It should be fun. Hopefully fans of horror and fans of Windham [Bray Wyatt] like it!”
Bray Wyatt has continued to be his cryptic giving little if anything away since leaving WWE. The star had been with the company for a little over a decade at the time of his departure, an exit that was linked to budget cuts. However it has since been reported that tension with WWE Chairman Vince McMahon may have also played a significant role.
