Braun Strowman has competed in his first wrestling match since he left WWE, where he took on a superstar who was also released by the company.

‘The Monster Among Men’ picked up the victory over EC3, in his first match after he was released back on 2nd June. His release was somewhat of a shock, and was in a raft of people let go which also included the likes of Aleister Black, Buddy Murphy, Lana, Santana Garrett, and Ruby Riott.

The match took place on an event called Free The Narrative II on 1st October, which was given the tagline ‘The Monster In Us All’.

With the nickname ‘The Titan’ and competing using his real name of Adam Scherr, the former Strowman defeated former two-time IMPACT Wrestling Champion EC3 in the main event of the show.

After the match, he took the time to send a special message to his opponent that night.

You helped free me from so many monsters I had locked inside me. Thank you @therealec3 you helped take my rose colored glasses off and truly see the beauty of the world!!!! I changed the day we filmed this. You believed in me and I believe in you @freethenarrator told me to bet on myself and that hit so close to home because that is what got me so far in life betting on myself and I forgot how to do it i stopped believing in myself. I left millions of dollars on the table to be able to do something I cared about in my heart something I feel will be so very important to other people that are struggling with there selfs. There’s more important things in life sometimes than a pay check and this is 100% one of those things. I am forever indebted to you both for reaching your hands out to a man who was lost and just needed an outlet to be set free!!!!

Many have seen Scherr’s destination as IMPACT Wrestling, with plenty of reports that both he and Buddy Murphy will soon appear with the company. However, there will no doubt be interest from elsewhere for his signature.
