The go home episode of WWE Raw before the Extreme Rules PPV this weekend took place at the PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina. Randy Orton defeated A.J. Styles, Garza and Carrillo bested Ali and Mansoor and, in what seems to be a weekly event, Doudrop beat Eva Marie. But mainly:

Lashley destroyed everyone when the New Day went against the Bloodline

Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston, and WWE Champion Big E faced off against the SmackDown Tag Team Champions Jimmy and Jey Uso, and the Universal Champion Roman Reigns in the opening match of this week’s show. Bobby Lashley made his presence known towards the end of the match when he ran to ringside and took out Big E with a Spear. He then slammed Kofi in to the ring post and, for good measure, attacked both Jimmy and Jey too. The distraction meant that Woods, the legal man in the ring, was left open to a Spear from Reigns who then got the pin and win for the Bloodline. The Almighty wasn’t done though, as he then Speared Reigns in the ring and followed this with a Spear to Big E through the barrier at ringside. Absolute carnage.

Baszler beat Jax, then kept on beating

The former tag team of Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax went one-on-one, and it was Baszler that got the win after Jax passed out in the Kirifuda Clutch. After the match The Queen of Spades got back to her vicious ways of old and attacked Jax with some very stiff kicks and stomped her arm over and over on the steel steps, which left Nia screaming out in pain.

New champions were crowned!

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Natalya and Tamina put the belts on the line against the team of Nikki A.S.H. and Rhea Ripley. The end of the match came about when Natalya attempted to get Nikki in the Sharpshooter but became distracted when Rhea hit the Riptide on Tamina on to the ring apron. This gave Nikki the opening she needed and she rolled up Natalya to get the win, and the Tag Team titles for her and Ripley.

Jeff Hardy got himself into a title match

With Damian Priest on commentary, Jeff Hardy took on Sheamus with the stipulation that if Hardy won, he would make Sheamus vs. Priest at Extreme Rules a triple-threat match. And win he did, when he pinned the Celtic Warrior after a Sunset Flip to get a shot at the United States title at the upcoming PPV. After the match a brawl erupted when Sheamus confronted Priest and the two went at each other with officials trying to break them up, which ended after both wrestlers crashed over the top rope to the floor.

Lashley vs. Champion vs. Champion

Due to the interference earlier in the night, a PPV-level triple-threat match was made that pitted Bobby Lashley against Universal Champion Roman Reigns against WWE Champion Big E. It was as hard hitting as expected, with all three men giving everything they had to take out their opponents and featured multiple near falls. The end of the match saw Big E knock Reigns off of the apron with a Spear and then when he got him back in the ring he hit the Big Ending and went for the pin. Lashley attacked Big E with a chair but was then met with a Spear from the Tribal Chief who got the cover and pinned the Almighty to get the win. Reigns held his title high as Raw went off the air.
