On this week’s episode of WWE NXT from the Capitol Wrestling Center in Orlando, WALTER made a surprise appearance, two matches were announced for next week’s ‘Title Tuesday’, and ‘The Undisputed Finale, Cole vs. O’Reilly III’ was made official for NXT TakeOver 36.

1. Title matches announced for ‘Title Tuesday’

NXT General Manager William Regal announced that the go-home show for NXT TakeOver 36, which takes place on August 22 just 24 hours after SummerSlam, will be named ‘Title Tuesday’. The first title match will see NXT Tag Team Champions MSK (Wes Lee and Nash Carter) defend against Imperium (Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner), and then NXT Cruiserweight Champion KUSHIDA will put his gold on the line against the leader of the Diamond Mine, Roderick Strong.

2. ‘The Million Dollar Man’ Ted DiBiase puts himself on the line

After an easy win over Andre Chase, LA Knight demanded that his butler, Cameron Grimes, should clean his boots. This brought WWE Hall of Famer Ted DiBiase to the ring who demanded the Million Dollar Title be put on the line at NXT TakeOver in another match between Knight and Grimes. Knight agreed on the provision that if Grimes once again comes up short, the ‘Million Dollar Man’ himself would become his new butler. DiBiase said he’s a gambling man and agreed to the stipulation.

3. Parker Boudreaux appeared in ring

WWE Performance Center recruit Parker Boudreaux, alongside multiple other recruits, was part of William Regal’s security team for a face-to-face meeting between Kyle O’Reilly and Adam Cole. Boudreaux, a former college footballer, was signed by WWE in February and his resemblance to Brock Lesnar was immediately pointed out by fans. As of yet there’s no word on when he’ll make his official in-ring debut.

4. Huge match made between Kyle O’Reilly and Adam Cole

William Regal announced ‘The Undisputed Finale’ for NXT TakeOver 36. The match between Kyle O’Reilly and Adam Cole will be contested under two-out-of-three falls rules with each wrestler choosing a stipulation and the NXT General Manager deciding the third. Kyle chose the first fall to be a regular match to be won by pinfall or submission, whilst Cole selected a Street Fight. The third fall, if it goes to it, was announced by Regal as taking place inside a Steel Cage.

5. WALTER appears

Pete Dunne took on Ilja Dragunov during the main event of this week’s show. The end of the match came about when WALTER caused enough of a distraction to Dragunov, allowing Dunne to take advantage and get the win. Following the match WALTER attacked Dragunov, but the Russian countered and knocked the NXT UK Champion down with the Torpedo Moscow, sending him to the outside. Dragunov then picked up and posed with the NXT UK belt as the show went off the air.
