WWE Hall of Famer Booker T believes one faction in WWE has the potential to become “one of the most popular” in the company’s history.
The five-time WCW Champion was on his Hall Of Fame podcast when he praised SmackDown newcomers Hit Row. The group was recently drafted from NXT 2.0 to the blue brand in the WWE Draft, and Booker T believes Hit Row has the opportunity to be WWE’s next huge success:
“I watch their act, when they come out they believe in what they’re doing. And then their music, their music is hot. Top Dolla is really no joke as far as the music goes and he’s an athlete – and the world is going to see that group do something really, really special.”
“That kid Swerve, there again, I didn’t how good this kid was until he was part of the group where he was able to shine and that is the Hit Row… Give them the ball and let them run. You talk about a faction that can go down, as far as this generation, the millennials, and what they really, really like, these guys can go down as one of the most popular groups ever formed if done right.”
NXT North American Champion Isaiah ‘Swerve’ Scott, Ashante ‘Thee’ Adonis, B-Fab, and Top Dolla make up Hit Row. On the 29th of June, Scott defeated Bronson Reed for the North American Title but has yet to defend the championship.
He has, however, accepted a challenge from Legado del Fantasma’s Santos Escobar and will defend his belt for the first time against the former NXT Cruiserweight Champion on NXT 2.0 on October 12th. When the WWE Draft picks come into effect on October 22nd, Hit Row will officially join the WWE main roster on the blue brand.
