2000 – After Vince Russo vacated the WCW World Heavyweight Championship he had won seven days prior on Nitro, Booker T defeated Jeff Jarrett to win the vacant title. The match was a ‘San Francisco 49ers’ match which saw the belt and three mystery items held in boxes on poles in each corner of the ring. The other items included a framed photo of Scott Hall….
2006 – On an episode of Raw from Topeka, Kansas, Jeff Hardy defeated John Morrison to win the WWE Intercontinental Championship.
2011 – WWE Hell In A Cell took place in New Orleans, Louisiana. The main event saw Alberto Del Rio capture the WWE Championship in a triple-threat Hell In A Cell match against CM Punk and John Cena.
2019 – AEW Dynamite airs for the first time from the Capital One Arena in Washington DC. The first ever match on Dynamite saw Cody defeat Sammy Guevara. The main event was a six man tag team match pitting AEW World Champion Chris Jericho, Santana and Ortiz against The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega. The Inner Circle team were victorious.
2020 – On WWE SmackDown, ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt returned to television and took out Randy Orton during an episode of The KO Show.
