Liverpool “Interested” In Signing Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka

Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Arsenal and England winger Bukayo Saka, and the feeling is said to be mutual.

Saka has scored five goals and registered four assists in 19 Premier League appearances so far this season, and Ian McGarry of the Transfer Window podcast has reported that Arsenal are working to extend the contract of the 20-year-old.

“My understanding is that there have been talks with his representatives with regards to giving him a contract upgrade at Arsenal.”

“They realise that they have a talent on their hands, who could potentially be worth a lot more money in the future.”

McGarry says one of the primary reasons for this is that Liverpool are “looking to the future” and believe Saka would slot in perfectly.

“We have reported on The Transfer Window Podcast that Liverpool are looking to the future with regards to the fact that they expect to sell at least two of their attacking players,” he said.

“Saka is someone who is a player who suits Liverpool’s style.”

It’s said that Saka would be “very interested” in the move to Anfield.

“Liverpool would provide the opportunity and platform for him to play and compete at the highest level. And that would certainly be something that I’m told he and his representatives are very interested in.”

Of course, competition would be stiff right now if Saka were to switch with Roberto Firmino struggling to break back into the starting 11 with Mo Salah, Sadio Mane and Diogo Jota occupying the front three places.

Meanwhile, Liverpool’s right back Trent Alexander-Arnold revealed the two signings he’d love The Reds to make.
